Featuring a raucous soundtrack, rear-wheel drive, sharp steering, excellent traction, and two seating options, the Nissan 350 & 370Z is a fantastic sports car. Although the 350Z is now almost 20 years old and speed/power has changed significantly since the 350Z was first introduced in the early 2000s, there is no denying that it is still a fast car. The 350Z was made to be a driver’s car, now popular with drifters. With a larger engine, more torque, a faster sprint to 60 mph (5.1 seconds), better braking, and a quarter-mile time of 15 seconds, the 350Z gained a lot of attention.
The 370Z saw some upgrades to the design and engine from the 350Z. Also added were some nice features such as manual transmission’s SynchroRev Matching and a navigation system with onboard music storage and traffic information.
Both the 350Z and 370Z are now extremely popular with tuners, seeing improvements made to their handling and engine performance. When any engine improvements are made it’s important that the clutch is also improved, Mantic has many different performance clutch kits available, including performance clutch systems in the Mantic Track range.
Nissan 350Z & 370Z Mantic Track Series
Why Choose a Mantic Track Multi-plate Clutch Kit?
Performance Clutch Systems typically involve an increase in clamp load and/or use of aggressive friction material to achieve higher torque capacity. However there is a practical limit – Increasing clamp load by more than 20% can put the vehicle’s hydraulic system under stress, significantly reducing clutch system life and resulting in very high clutch pedal actuation effort. And the use of aggressive friction material will noticeably reduce driveability. Enter the benefits of a Mantic multi-plate clutch system. A 8.9″ Twin Plate Mantic Track system has the same effective surface area as an 18 single plate clutch. So increasing clamp load is no longer a priority as the significantly larger surface area creates a massive torque capacity increase.
All Clutch Systems in the Mantic Track Series features:
Lower Moment Of Inertia(MOI) To Increase Acceleration.-Dynamometer Tested.
Field-Tested On Both Street And Track.
ISO9001 Quality Certified.
Modular Designs As Well As Many Direct Fit Applications.
Available in the Mantic 9000 Series (8.9”/225mm diameter), the track twin cerametallic disc kit can hold over 2,050Nm of torque.
All direct fit kits include a lightened steel flywheel which along with the aluminum cover, provides a lightweight solution that helps increase acceleration.
